Out of the Unknown was a British science fiction television program that aired for four series (or seasons) from 1965 to 1971. The show was an anthology series, which primarily adapted the literery works of genre authors such as Isaac Asimov and Philip K. Dick. As the series progressed, the production crew began leaning more towards the areas of horror and fantasy. The first two seasons of the show were aired on BBC2 in monochromatic black and white with the third and fourth seasons being aired in color. Many of the episodes from the program are considered "lost" episodes, though some have been recovered and restored over the years since the program's cancellation.
