Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Otto von Furth was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez and inker Romeo Tanghal.
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985-86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
- A version of Plasmus also exists in the "New 52" continuity following the "Flashpoint" storyline of 2011.
- Final fate (Pre-Flashpoint): Killed on Cygnus 4019 when he was left behind to power Lex Luthor's transport device, which subsequently exploded.
- Plasmus' first appearance in New Teen Titans, Volume 1 #14 is actually just a one-panel cameo appearance on the last page. His first full appearance is in New Teen Titans, Volume 1 #15.
- Plasmus has also appeared in the Teen Titans animated series as well as it's comic book spin-off title, Teen Titans Go!.
- Along with fellow Brotherhood of Evil member, Warp, Otto von Furth was an employee of Kenny Braverman's Pipeline.
- Plasmus received a character profile in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, Volume 18. A spot illustration of him was also included in the Brotherhood of Evil profile page in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, Volume 3.
