Otto von Furth, also known as Plasmus, is a fictional costumed supervillain featured in comic book titles published by DC Comics. He is part of both the Pre-Crisis Earth-One continuity as well as the Post-Crisis era of DC publishing. He first appeared in New Teen Titans, Volume 1 #14 in December, 1981. Plasmus has often been presented as a foe of the Teen Titans.

The character of Otto von Furth was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez and inker Romeo Tanghal.
Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985-86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
A version of Plasmus also exists in the "New 52" continuity following the "Flashpoint" storyline of 2011.
Final fate (Pre-Flashpoint): Killed on Cygnus 4019 when he was left behind to power Lex Luthor's transport device, which subsequently exploded.
Plasmus' first appearance in New Teen Titans, Volume 1 #14 is actually just a one-panel cameo appearance on the last page. His first full appearance is in New Teen Titans, Volume 1 #15.
Plasmus has also appeared in the Teen Titans animated series as well as it's comic book spin-off title, Teen Titans Go!.
Along with fellow Brotherhood of Evil member, Warp, Otto von Furth was an employee of Kenny Braverman's Pipeline.
