Orion Colony is a fictional community center featured in the mythos of the Star Trek franchise. It was first referenced in the original unaired pilot episode of the first Star Trek television series "The Cage".
Description[]
The Orion Colony was one of several such trading outposts found in the Orion Sector. It's primary commodity was the selling of Orion slave girls who were known for being excellent entertainers and courtesans. The Orion Colony was represented as part of an illusory fantasy implanted into the mind of Captain Christopher Pike. In the fantasy, Pike was a wealthy king entertained by an Orion slave girl who danced for him and his peers. The slave girl was actually cast in the mold of an Earth woman he knew as Vina. [1]
