Opto is a planet located in an unidentified star system. It has a native human population with a very specific disability. The people of Opto cannot see through conventional means, and require radar equipment outfitted in special head-gear that they must wear. The regent of Opto was a man named Optik, who ruled throughout the Winter Region.
Flash Gordon and Dale Arden crashed on Opto several years ago. They encountered a man named Vango, who was leading a rebellion against the forces of Regent Optik. (Four Color 173)
