Optik is a fictional character featured in the Flash Gordon multimedia franchise. He appeared in issue #173 of the comic book anthology series Four Color in November, 1947.
Biography[]
Optik was a humanoid extraterrestrial from the planet Opto. He was a tyrannical monarch and served as regent of the Winter Region of the planet. Optik instructed the High Tribunal to imprison a young woman named Chee, but she was rescued by Flash Gordon and Dale Arden. A man named Vango led a resistance against Regent Optik's forces.
