Ooahk Kung is a fictional giant monster and a one-time antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He appeared in Hawkman, Volume 5 #1 in August, 2018.
Biography[]
Ooahk Kung was as an ancient being of possibly interdimensional origin. He had a simian appearance, similar to that of a gorilla, but was many times larger and boasted a third eye in the middle of its forehead.
The power or Ooahk Kung resided within a Golem, which was positioned as a guardian at the Temple of Ooahk Kung on an island in the Aegean Sea near Santorini.
Archaeologist Carter Hall, aka Hawkman, journeyed to the island in search of an artifact known as the Nautilus of Revealment. By removing it from its resting place, he angered Ooahk Kung. The Golem came to life and began tearing through the ruins of the temple trying to recover the Nautilus. Hawkman evaded the giant's blows as much as he could, but finally, he had to end the monster's rampage with one swift stroke from his mace.
