Overview[]

Omni Consumer Products was a mega-corporation that was headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. Through their various subsidiaries, OCP had their corporate fingers in every flavor of pie imaginable from commercial products, to land development, law enforcement, scientific research and even government military contracts. As former VP Dick Jones once said, "We practically ARE the military". While the current CEO of Omni Consumer Products did his level best to keep his nose clean, there were those who worked beneath him who were far less scrupulous, such as Chip Chayken.

Omni Consumer Products privatized the Detroit Police Department and financed their operations, giving way to the development of Dick Jones' failed ED-209 tactical robotic defense system to that of the late Bo Morton's RoboCop project. Through the original CEO, known as "The Old Man", OCP engaged in a massive urban renewal project that transformed Old Detroit into the state of the art city of the future, Delta City. Through the efforts of former executive Chip Chayken, OCP also developed the computer interface network known as NeuroBrain, which had inadvertently been combined with a digital representation of Chayken's former secretary, Diana Powers, creating an artificial intelligence.
