The Ogdru Jahad, also known as the Dragon of Revelation or the Seven Gods of Chaos, serve as the primary background-antagonists in the Hellboy-comics.
Overview[]
Imprisoned in another dimension, the seven deities seemed to be released so that they could bring forth madness and destruction to the Earth.
Grigori Rasputin was the prophet for these beings, who managed to get the help of the Third Reich in order to release the deities, promising they could the Nazis in winning the war. Project Ragna Rok was formed for this purpose.
The project was performed as an occult ritual on December 23rd, 1944, where Rasputin summoned the cambion Hellboy, as only he could release the Ogdru Jahad with the Right Hand of Doom.
