Number Five is a fictional super-hero and a central character featured in the Umbrella Academy multimedia franchise by Dark Horse Comics. He first appeared in The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite #1 in September, 2007. The character has also been adapted for The Umbrella Academy live-action television series on Netflix. He was played primarily by Aidan Gallagher in the series. Jim Watson played an adult version of Number Five, and Sean Sullivan played an elderly version of Number Five.
Biography[]
Number Five was the fifth special child adopted by Reginald Hargreeves and raised inside the isolated yet spacious confines of his Umbrella Academy. Like his fellow adopted siblings, Number Five demonstrated a fantastic super-power. He had the ability to teleport through space and even break the spacetime continuum. As a side effect of traveling through time, eventually returned to his normal time era, but was stuck in the body of his thirteen-year-old self.
