Nod is fictional child-like entity and a minor antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He is associated with the Doom Patrol line of titles and first appeared in Doom Patrol, Volume 2 #31 in April, 1990.
Biography[]
Nod was an agent of the Cult of the Unwritten Book and worked alongside Wynken and Blynken. It took the form of a diminutive child-like creature who rode a tricycle. Wynken, Blynken, and Nod terrorized the residents of a hotel in search of the Unwritten Book.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Nod was created by writer Grant Morrison and artist Richard Case.
- Wynken, Blynken and Nod are loosely based on the Three Dimwits, whose names were Winky Moylan, Blinky Boylan, and Noddy Toylan. They were Golden Age characters who sometimes helped out the original Flash, Jay Garrick.
- The final fate of Wynken, Blynken, and Nod is unclear.
