Noburu-Hideki is a fictional character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He appeared in the 1982 Wolverine four-issue limited series and was introduced in issue #1.
Overview[]
Noburu-Hideki was a Japanese business man of the modern era who was married into the powerful Yashida clan family. He operated out of Agarashima in Miyagi Prefecture. Noburu was the husband to Mariko Yashida and the son-inlaw of Lord Shingen Harada. His relationship to Mariko made him an enemy of Wolverine.
Biography[]
Noburu-Hideki played a key role in re-instating Shingen Harada as the head of the Clan Yashida family after he had been declared lost for many years. One of the benefits of this position was that Harada owed a debt to Noburu, which was paid in the hand of Shingen's daughter, Mariko Yashida. Though Noburu graciously accepted Mariko's hand in marriage, there was no love shared between them. Hideki coveted only power and Mariko's heart belonged to a foreigner named Logan. Noburu was very abusive towards Mariko, as he believed was his right, and she often wore the bruises of his anger upon her face.
