The Nine existed in the alternate future timeline of Earth-691. In the 31st century, there existed a group of mutants on the legendary sanctuary world of Haven. These nine individuals represented the last known mutants in the galaxy. They were led by Rancor, who was a descendant of the 20th century hero Wolverine.
