Falcon and the Winter Soldier[]
Nico was a freedom fighter and revolutionary who joined a group called the Flag Smashers, who wanted to maintain a mission of a "world without borders" in the wake of The Blip. He operated under the leadership of Karli Morgenthau, who had secretly aligned herself with the Power Broker. While on a mission in Latvia, the Flag Smashers ran afoul of The Falcon & the Winter Soldier, as well as Baron Zemo, the new Captain America - John Walker, and his sidekick Battlestar - Lemar Hoskins. During the battle, Karli Morgenthau accidentally killed Lemar Hoskins. In a rage, John Walker mistakenly believed that it was Nico who had killed his partner. He decapitated him with Captain America's shield. Footage of the grisly act was captured by numerous witnesses. (Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Whole World Is Watching)
