- The Honeymoon Hopechest Motel was a motel located in Niagara Falls in upstate New York. Rhonda Taddington-Leffingwell and her new husband Billy Leffingwell rented a room there after they were married. They left after only one nite, citing that they didn't like the decor. A man from Rhonda's past, Eliot Franklin, who was also the costumed super-villain known as Thunderball, had been stalking Rhonda and was in a fit of rage after learning that she had married Bill Leffingwell. He accosted the clerk, demanding to know where Rhonda was. When the clerk told him that her husband and she left early that morning, Franklin used his ball and chain to smash through the wall. [1]
