Neytiri is a fictional alien character and one of the main characters from the 2009 feature film Avatar by director James Cameron. She was played by actress Zoë Saldana.

Overview[]

Neytiri was a member of a blue-skinned alien race from the planet Pandora known as the Na'vi. She was one of the first to have an in-depth relationship with a human, whose name was Jake Sully. As humans were particularly vulnerable on Pandora, nearly all of Jake's interaction with Neytiri was in a Na'vi avatar body.

The character of Neytiri was created by writer/director James Cameron.

Neytiri does not appear in the Avatar: The Game video game by Lightstorm Entertainment.

Actress Zoë Saldana is also known for playing the role of Nyota Uhura in the 2009 feature film reboot of the Star Trek franchise as well as its 2013 sequel, Star Trek: Into Darkness.

While playing Neytiri may be Zoë Saldana's first role in playing an off-color alien, it certainly isn't her last. In addition to the Avatar sequels, Zoë also played the part of green-skinned space assassin Gamora in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy.

A parody of Neytiri was portrayed in the animated comedy sketch, Avatar: How It Should Have Ended where she was voiced by actress Stephanie Fisher.

While it may be true that most Na'vi wear very little clothing, including Neytiri, you are not going to see any blue boobies no matter how hard you look.
