Prior to the infamy of characters such as Perry White, there was George Taylor, who was a veritable proto-Perry from the Golden Age era of comics. George was the managing editor of the Daily Star, which was based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Among his top employees was ace reporter Lois Lane, investigative reporter Clark Kent and cub photographer Jimmy Olsen.
