Thomas Ewing attacked the Westhaven Nuclear Generating Research Station on the bank of the Hudson River. He set the facility ablaze and members of the NYFD were unable to contain the fire without the use of chemical bombs. Firefly fought up against Nova at this time and trained his weapons on him, but Nova avoided them by diving out of the way with his rocket power. He scooped Firefly up and flew him out of the building where he tossed him into a lake, which rendered his equipment temporarily useless. [1]
A crazed super-powered individual named Charlie Wiederman developed a vibranium skin suit and became an enemy of Spider-Man. Targeting Peter through his loved ones, he burned down Peter's apartment as well as the family home of May Parker in Forest Hills, Queens.
