- "Poor, ugly Henry McCoy. There's no place for you in any mutant future. You're a devolver. Zoo animal. Stumbling backwards down the tree of life. How does it feel to have someone throw up on your soul, Henry?"

Since then, this outcast team of mutant misadventurers have appeared in numerous comic book titles that have since been adapted into several cartoon programs, feature films, and video games; not to mention copious amounts of merchandising ranging from toys to apparel.
