New Earth could refer to several different locations, several of which pertain to comic book titles published by DC Comics. In one continuity, New Earth was the setting for the futuristic environment inhabited by the adventurers known as Atari Force. It was discovered by the original team as the new home for humanity after Old Earth had been devastated by a war that left its residents imperiled. New Earth was also the designation for the mainstream reality of the DC Universe, which existed following the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths from 1985-86 until the Flashpoint storyline from 2011. The mainstream reality that existed prior to the Crisis was designated as Earth-One. The reality that existed following Flashpoint was referred to as the "New 52" continuity. In Legion of Super-Heroes continuity, New Earth was a space station city-state comprised of various domed cities and occupied by temporal duplicates of previously existing characters known as the SW6 Batch. This location first appeared in Legion of Super-Heroes, Volume 4 #38.
