The Nepenthe Gardens Rest Resort is a fictional location featured in the Watchmen franchise. It first appeared in Watchmen #2 in October, 1986. The location also appeared in the 2009 live-action Watchmen feature film.

Description[]

The Nepenthe Gardens Rest Resort is a retirement home locate in the U.S. state of California. The former super-hero known as Sally Jupiter, better known as Silk Spectre became a resident here in the years following her retirement as a costumed hero. By October, 1985, Sally was 65-years-old. Sally's daughter, Laurie Juspeczyk, visited her mother at the home to inform her of the death of former colleague, Edward Blake, aka The Comedian. Laurie could not understand how here mother could feel bad about Blake's death, considering he tried to rape her many years ago. Sally made several pointed comments about good health whenever Laurie tried to smoke a cigarette in her room.
