Negan is a fictional antagonist featured in the survival horror comic book series The Walking Dead by Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment. He is also featured on the AMC television series The Walking Dead. In the comics, the character first appeared in the 100th issue of the title, which was the first chapter in the "Something to Fear" storyline. On the show, he was played by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and was introduced in the season six finale, "Last Day on Earth". With the premiere episode of season seven, "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be", he became one of the main characters on the series.

- The character of Negan was created by writer Robert Kirkman.
- Robert Kirkman originally envisioned the character being named Nagus, but this was altered after he realized that "Nagus" was also a title used in Ferengi culture on the TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
- Robert Kirkman and artist Charlie Adlard based the visual look of Negan from the comics on musician and actor Henry Rollins.
