The Nautilus of Revealment is a fictional item featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is part of the Hawkman line of comic titles and first appeared in Hawkman, Volume 5 #1 in August, 2018.
The Nautilus of Revealment was a mystical relic of ancient times. Its origins date back to the time of the inter-dimensional diety known as Ooahk Kung and was located in the Temple of Ooahk Kung some twelve miles off the island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea. It was believed that this relic held the key towards unlocking the secrets of one's past lives.
Adventurer Carter Hall, aka Hawkman, was greatly interested in recovering this object, for he had lived through numerous lives dating as far back as Ancient Egypt. He journeyed to the temple and found the Nautilus. Upon removing it however, he awakened a golem effigy of Ooahk Kung, who tried to destroy him. Hawkman bested the golem and took the Nautilus away.
He brought it to Madame Xanadu's shop on Dean Street in London. He entreated Madame Xanadu to use her magic to unlock the mystery of the Nautilus. Madame Xanadu did as requested and Carter Hall was assailed by many images of his former lives. He discovered that he had not only been reincarnated across the ravages of time, but across the vastness of space as well - having lived lives on dozens of other worlds such as Rann and Krypton.
