History[]

Nautilium is an exceptionally rare mineral that can only be found in the depths of the ocean. Atlantean warlord Attuma and his men took months to collect enough Nautilium for their goals. They used in the construction of a missile payload that, upon detonation, would send Nautilium particles into the atmosphere. Its properties would change the density of oxygen, creating excess moisture that would make it impossible for humans to breathe. As Attuma readied his weapon, his efforts earned the attention of the armored Avenger, Iron Man. Using an experimental Stark Enterprises mini-sub, he sent it on a collision course with the missile launcher. The launcher exploded, destroying the Nautilium shell, and the last remnants of this precious mineral.
