Overview[]
NamTar, the so-called "DNA Mad Scientist", is an alien from an unidentified race. A geneticist by trade with very little in the way of ethics, he offered the crew of Moya the chance to chart a course towards their respective home worlds by analyzing their DNA. As payment for his efforts however, NamTar demanded a heavy price - one of Pilot's arms. Though John Crichton and Aeryn Sun were disgusted by such a notion, Ka D'Argo and Rygel XVI were only too willing to oblige and they cut off one of Pilot's limbs with D'Argo's Qualta Blade.
