Nal Hutta is a fictional planet featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. It is associated with the alien race known as the Hutts and has appeared in alternative media relating to the franchise including source books, reference guides, comic books, video games and novels.
Description[]
Nal Hutta is a planet located in the Y'Toub System. It was the original homeworld of the Evocii race and was known as Evocar. Millennia later, the Hutts gained control of the planet and it was re-named Nal Hutta. It has since become known as the Hutt homeworld. In Huttese, Nal Hutta stands for Glorious Jewel. When it was Evocar, the planet was a lush, jungle environment with dense heavy metals. Following Hutt occupation however, resources were depleted and it has since become a desolate marshy wetlands environment with sickly vegetation and polluted habitats. This was caused by extended strip mining of the planet's natural minerals.
