Myka Bering is one of the main characters from the SyFy Original Series Warehouse 13. Played by actress Joanne Kelly, she was introduced in the series' pilot episode and has appeared in all subsequent episodes. Myka Bering is presented as a member of the Secret Service and a frequent rival of fellow agent Pete Lattimer. After the two agents found themselves butting heads following a situation in Washington, D.C., they were astounded to discover that they had each been recruited by Artie Nielsen into coming to work for him at Warehouse 13 - a top-secret bunker housing thousands of dangerous and valuable artifacts, many of which possess bizarre and arcane properties. A pragmatic woman by nature, Myka often has difficulty accepting the surreal world that she has been thrust into, but with each successive mission, she finds herself rising to the challenge, forcing herself to tackle new feats with precision and enthusiasm. Her greatest assets are her meticulous, analytical approach to a situation and her scrupulous eye for detail. Myka often finds herself sitting apart from the rest of the Warehouse staff, preferring to keep her true feelings to herself, but the more time she spends with her partner Pete Lattimer, the more she finds herself opening up to new sensations and new possibilities.
