- The character of Kamala Khan was created by writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artists Scott Hepburn and Gerardo Sandoval. She first appeared in Captain Marvel, Volume 7 #14 in September, 2013 in the final chapter of "The Enemy Within" storyline. She first became Ms. Marvel in the All-New Marvel NOW! Point One #1 one-shot special in March, 2014.
