Mount Rainier is a large active stratovolcano in Pierce County, Washington, located 54 miles southeast of Seattle. It towers over the Cascade Range as the most prominent mountain in the contiguous United States and Cascade Volcanic Arc at 14,411 feet (4,392 m). It is the highest mountain in Washington and the Cascade Range.
Mount Rainier played a vital role in the television series The 4400. This was where a mysterious comet deposited 4,400 abductees after they had been mysteriously snatched away from different points in time. One of the witnesses to this spectacle was CDC agent Diana Skouris. [1]
