Mothra vs. Godzilla is a Japanese science fiction feature film of the tokusatsu ("suitmation") and daikaiju ("giant monster") genres. It is the fifth film in Godzilla film series. It was directed by Ishirô Honda with a screenplay written by Shin'ichi Sekizawa. It premiered in Japan on April 29th, 1964. It was first screened in the United States on September 17th, 1964.
