Description[]
The Mothers of Decency was founded by Olivia Selby and was based out of Citrusville, Florida. Olivia formed the group in opposition to the local public school board's curriculum, which offered teachings and text books containing information that ran counter to Olivia's strict moral values, including theories that human life could be created in a laboratory and that sexual education should be taught to students. Olivia led a march against the school and perpetuated a book-burning campaign. These events coincided with an appearance by the Man-Thing and a battle against a psychotic killer dubbed the Mad Viking. [1]
