Biography[]
Morgan was an African American male living in Santa Clarita, California in the late 2010s. He was friends with a man named Ron Ruffin. When Ron manipulated his way into becoming one of the undead, he decided to spread the infection to as many people as possible; one of whom was Morgan. Ron bit him on the arm, but resisted eating him. Morgan became a zombie.
When Ron's former friends Joel and Sheila Hammond came to Morgan's place looking for Ron, Morgan behaved as a polite host, even offering them refreshments. While Joel and Sheila sat in Morgan's living room, Morgan went into his small kitchen and began laying plastic wrap all across the floor, intending on killing and eating them (Morgan was unaware that Sheila was already a zombie like him).
Joel and Sheila's 16-year-old daughter, Abby Hammond, came to the house and revealed that Morgan had lied to them. Fed up with being "polite", Morgan karate kicked Sheila across the coffee table. Joel jumped in front of of his wife armed with his trusty hammer-knife, but missed his mark and stabbed Morgan in the shoulder. As they struggled, Joel grabbed a lemon from a nearby table and shoved it into Morgan's mouth, preventing him from biting him. Abby, armed with a tri-bladed spring-loaded knife, came up behind Morgan and stabbed him in the head. It was only after that they discovered Ron's bite mark on Morgan's arm.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Morgan was created by director Rebecca Asher and writers Aaron Brownstein and Simon Ganz based on concepts developed by Victor Fresco.
- Actor Malcolm Barrett is also known for playing F.J. Hoover in episodes of season2 2-3 of the AMC supernatural action series Preacher.
- It is possible that Morgan is named after Morgan Jones, who is an African American character who starred in the celebrated zombie apocalypse series The Walking Dead and its sister series Fear the Walking Dead. Unlike the Morgan from those programs however, this Morgan is a zombie.
