Morbius is an American feature film of the super-hero fantasy and horror genres. It is based on the character of Michael Morbius as seen in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Michael Morbius is a scientist who attempts to cure himself of a rare blood disorder, only to find himself transformed into a ghoulish blood-sucking predator - a living vampire. The film was directed by Daniel Espinosa with a screenplay and screen story written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. It was presented through Columbia Pictures - a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment in association with Marvel Entertainment and produced by Avi Arad Productions and Matt Tolmach Productions. It premiered at the Plaza Carso in Mexico City, Mexico on March 10th, 2022. It opened in the United Kingdom on March 31st, 2022 and in the United States and Canada on April 1st, 2022. The film stars Jared Leto in the role of the titular Michael Morbius with Matt Smith as the antagonist Milo, and Adria Arjona as the love interest Martine Bancroft.

The character of Morbius was created by writer Roy Thomas, artist Gil Kane and inker Frank Giacoia. He first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #101 in October, 1971 in a story titled "A Monster Called... Morbius!" The character has since headlined his own serial in Adventure Into Fear, had two of his own ongoing titles as well as a reprint series and has made appearances in numerous other books such as Vampire Tales.
The tagline to this film is "The line between hero and villain will be broken."

Principal filming on Morbius began on February 25th, 2019 and concluded in May of 2019. The movie was shot in parts of Buckinghamshire and Manchester, England. Studio shots were filmed at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath.
