An elderly woman named Mrs. Moore was the founder and manager of the Moore House for Wayward Children in Queens, New York. In the early years of the modern age of heroes, a teenager named Jessica Campbell was brought to the Moore House after her family had been killed in an automobile accident. Mrs. Moore was very caring and sympathetic to Jessica's situation. She arranged for her to be adopted by the Jones family, and the girl legally changed her name to Jessica Jones. (Alias 22)
