"BFF Part 1: Repeat After Me"[]
Lunella Lafayette is a thirteen-year-old super-genius who is forced to endure the drudgery of public school. Using a detection device of her own making, she comes upon an Omni-wave projector. She takes it to school the next day, but while sitting in the playground, she catches the eye of Coach Hrbek. Herbek snags the spherical device, believing it to be a non-regulation basketball. Lunella tries to grab it from him when it activates, emitting an intense green energy.
Elsewhere, in the Valley of the Flame on Dinosaur World, the violent Killer-Folk hunt down an omni-wave projector of their own... a mystical object that they call the Nightstone. Moon-Boy of the Small-Folk keeps it away from them, but it too activates and the resulting energy kills him. The item creates a spatial portal and synchronizes with the omni-wave projector from the modern world.
Devil Dinosaur emerges and charges through the portal from Dinosaur World into Lunella's world. Coming upon the young girl, he picks her up with his teeth and begins stomping off with her.
