"The Man Who Cried Werewolf" is the first story featured in issue #1 of the Monsters Unleashed ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written by Gerry Conway based on an original story by author Robert Bloch. It was illustrated by Pablo Marcos and lettered by Gaspar Saladino. The second story is "The Thing in the Freezer" by Marv Wolfman and Syd Shores. This is followed up by "Vampire Tale" by an unknown writer and artist Doug Wildey. Solomon Kane takes the feature spotlight in the next tale called "Skulls in the Stars" by Roy Thomas and Ralph Reese. Next is "One Foot in the Grave" by Tony DiPreta, then "The Fake", illustrated by Al Eadeh. The final story is "World of Warlocks" by Gardner Fox & Roy Thomas with artwork by Gene Colan and lettering by Sam Rosen. All stories were edited by Roy Thomas. This issue shipped with an August, 1973 cover date and carries a cover price of .75 cents per copy.
