Plot[]
Four youths decide to spend some time in an allegedly abandoned haunted house near a pond. The group consists of introverted Paul, his girlfriend Jodie, the extrovert Matthew and his girlfriend Beverly. At Jodie's suggestion, they decide to play a game wherein each person lights a wooden match and tells part of an improvisational spooky story. When the match burns out, the next person lights a match and continues the story. For strange inexplicable reasons, Paul's match never extinguishes, and his portion of the story manifests in reality as they resurrect the body of the home's original owner, Herbert Waverly - a man who supposedly committed suicide in nearby Becker's pond after murdering his wife. Now, Herbert Waverly has returned, and it seems like Paul is the only one who can end this nightmare.. by finishing the story.
