"The Rage of Frankenstein's Bride" is the ninth episode of the Monster Force animated television series. It was directed by Chris Schouten with a script written by Mary Crawford and Alan Templeton. It first aired in syndication on June 18th, 1994.

Plot[]

Doctor Duquesne of Hypergen had the comatose body of the Bride of Frankenstein held in suspended animation. The Bride breaks freaks however and escapes from the facility. Hypergen security forces attempt to stop her, but she is too strong. When the Frankenstein Monster of Monster Force learns that his original mate is still alive, he goes berserk, leaving the group on a love-stricken quest to reunite with her. But does the Bride really want to make a love connection, or is she too consumed with rage and an unyielding hatred of humanity?

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Dracula was created by Irish author Bram Stoker. He is the titular antagonist of Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula, which was inspired by an actual Wallachian nobleman known as Vlad II, aka Vlad the Impaler.
  • Frankenstein, and all related characters, are based on concepts developed by English author Mary Shelley's as presented in her 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus. The Frankenstein story has since been adapted and expanded upon in numerous films, novels, comic books and television projects.
  • Luke Talbot is apparently descended from Larry Talbot, the titular werewolf character from the 1941 film The Wolf Man. The original character was created by director George Waggner and writer Curt Siodmak.
  • The name of the antagonistic entity in this episode is Hypergen, which is led by an administrator named Duquesne (pronounced doo-kayn).
  • The head of security for Hypergen is Honor Santiago.
