Moloch's solar mirror was one of several high-tech objects designed by criminal genius Edgar William Jacobi, aka Moloch. He used it during one of his early conflicts with the Minutemen back in the 1940s. After the Minutemen defeated Moloch, they kept the solar mirror in their trophy case.
