Notes & Trivia[]

  • With this issue, the format of the series changes to a fashion magazine with illustrated stories. It continues the numbering sequence from Miss America Comics.
  • This is the first appearance of Patsy Walker. During the 1940s and 1950s, Patsy becomes known as a fashion icon. The character is later re-imagined in the modern Marvel Universe as a superhero who begins going by the code name of Hellcat.
  • The cover model for this issue is Dolores Conlon, who was reportedly only 15-years-old when this photo was taken.
  • The Shocker that appears in this issue is a Golden Age Miss America villain. He is not to be confused with Herman Schultz, who is a modern era Spider-Man villain.
  • The Patsy Walker story in this issue is not part of official Marvel Universe canon. However, it may be one of the fictionalized stories featured in Patsy Walker Comics published by her mother, Dorothy Walker.
