Miriam Sharpe is a fictional political activist and a recurring character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. She first appeared in Civil War #1 in July, 2006.
Biography[]
Miriam Sharpe was a resident of Stamford, Connecticut, and the mother of Damien Sharpe. Damien was one of the six-hundred people killed when Nitro exploded during a fight with the New Warriors.
At the memorial service for the Stamford victims, Miriam Sharpe accosted Tony Stark outside the steps of the church, spitting on him, and blaming him and others like him for Damien's death.
Miriam became a strong believer that super-heroes should be held accountable for their actions. She attended a rally in Washington, D.C., promoting the creation of the Superhuman Registration Act. [2]
