Notes & Trivia[]
- Blackhawk, and all related characters and concepts were created by writer Will Eisner and artist Chuck Cuidera. They first appeared in Military Comics #1 in August, 1941, published by Quality Comics. They later spun-out into their first Blackhawk ongoing series, which ran from 1944 to 1956, spanning a total of 107 issues. DC Comics acquired the rights to continue publication of Blackhawk stories without interruption and began producing the title with Blackhawk #108 in January, 1957.
