Biography[]
Mike Pike was a spiritual faith healer holding the honorific of Reverend. He headed up his own tent revival sermons, which was maintained by way of financial tribute. Whether through his own spiritual connections or whether by some genuine miracle, Reverend Mike actually healed a crippled boy named Ross Everbest. Ross was "saved" in more ways than one as he became a devout religious zealot who sought to purify sinners, who, he referred to as "fools". To this end, he became a costumed vigilante known as the Foolkiller.
One evening, Foolkiller walked in on Reverend Mike as he was in the midst of a dalliance with a prostitute while drinking a bottle of wine - both of which he probably purchased with donations to his church. Foolkiller flew into a rage and strangled Reverend Mike.
Foolkiller kept Mike Pike's body and encased it in a tube of preserving fluid. He regarded this as a personal shrine which he maintained within a mobile laboratory inside of a truck. During a struggle between Foolkiller and Man-Thing, Reverend Mike's containment canister shattered, sending a shard outward that speared Foolkiller through the chest, killing him. [1]
