Biography[]
Mike Norris was a homicide detective for the Chicago Police Department, based out of Chicago, Illinois. In November, 1988 Mike was on the trail of wanted serial killer Charles Lee Ray. Norris pursued Ray into a toy store where he fatally shot him. Before expiring however, Ray used a mystical incantation to transfer his spirit from his dying body into that of a Good Guy doll. His evil continued in the form of the animated doll, "Chucky", and Mike found himself facing a new threat unlike anything he had seen before.
Mike investigated the death of Maggie Peterson, who fell through an eighth floor window at the Brewster Apartments. Mike found small footprints in flour on a counter-top, which made him suspect six-year-old Andy Barclay. Andy denied having anything to do with it, and made claims that his doll Chucky may have had something to do with it. Neither Mike nor Andy's mother, Karen Barclay believed Andy at first.
Later, Detective Norris found the living killer doll in the back of his car. Chucky attacked Mike while he was speeding down the road and tried to stab him multiple times with a large knife. The car overtuned, but Mike survived.
He then tracked Chucky back to Karen and Andy's apartment. Chucky severely injured Mike, but he was able to fire off multiple shots with his gun, ultimately striking the doll in the heart, putting an end to him. For now.
