Biography[]
Michael G. Blake was an entrepreneur and a wealthy developer who was at his peak during the early 1960s. A veritable "Scrooge", he care only for expanding his own stock portfolio regardless of who it might hurt. To this end, he sought to erect Blake Plaza, which would have involved demolishing the Fifth Street Mission, operated by the Salvation Army.
In the original timeline, Blake's enterprise would have eventually led to financial ruin, leading him to take his own life on Christmas Eve, 1975.
Time traveler Sam Beckett leaped into the body of Blake's valet, Reginald Pearson. Through a series of interactions, he convinced the business mogul that he could still construct Blake Plaza, without having to demolish the mission. The mission became the ground floor of the plaza.
In the restructured timeline, Michael Blake married Salvation Army volunteer Laura Downey. They eventually had three children and lived a full and happy life.
