The Metropolis Star is a fictional business featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Superman line of titles and was first referenced in the first story featured in Superman, Volume 2 #9 in September, 1987 titled "To Laugh and Die in Metropolis".
Description[]
The Metropolis Star was one of the leading media businesses in the city of Metropolis, and was a leading competitor to the city's most infamous newspaper outlet, the Daily Planet. One of the Star's field reporters was Toby Raynes, a woman who once had a relationship with Metropolis Special Crimes Unit officer Maggie Sawyer.
