Overview[]
Mera is an aquatic alien from an alternate dimension known as Dimension Aqua. As a native of that world, Mera has the ability to condense molecules of water to create "hard water" constructs, which can be used for offensive purposes. After becoming a refugee from her native world, she escaped to the Earth reality, where she sought refuge in the undersea kingdom of Atlantis. She married the heir to the throne, Aquaman and became the Queen of Atlantis. Mera and Aquaman bore a child some months later, but the baby was tragically murdered by Aquaman's nemesis, Black Manta. Mera never truly recovered from the emotional trauma she felt at the loss of her son.
