Mechagodzilla is a giant robot whose form and function is designed to be similar to that of the daikaiju known as Godzilla. Played by "suitmation" actor Ise Mori, it appeared in the 1975 film, Terror of Mechagodzilla.
Overview[]
Mechagodzilla, also known as Mekagojira 2, is the second robot to take on the name of Mechagodzilla and fight up against Godzilla. Controlled by evil scientist Doctor Shinzô Mafune, Mechagodzilla teamed up with Titanosaurus on a mission of global destruction. Along the way, the giant fought up against not only Godzilla, but the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force as well.
