Maya was a female high school student from Los Angeles, California. Along with her clique of friends, she decided play a terrible prank on a student named Scarlett Winslow. Scarlett was invited to a slumber party where Maya brought her into her bedroom to seduce her. In truth, she was live-streaming the entire incident for the sake of publicly outing Scarlett's latent homosexual proclivities. Devastated by this, she returned home and telephoned the girls responsible, demanding that they meet her at her house at a predetermined time, or else she would contact the police. Donning the Rubberman suit, she baited them into coming down into the basement. The girls were terrorized by the ghosts that lived in the house, until Scarlett murdered them all with a knife. She hid their bodies behind a renovated brick wall in one of the rooms of the house. Halloween time was the only night of the year when the spirits of the dead could manifest corporeally in the real world and leave the boundaries of the place where they died. Scarlett took her ghost lover Ruby McDaniel to a Halloween party in Griffith Park. Unfortunately for them, the ghosts of Scarlett's victims also followed them. Ruby however, convinced the revenge-driven ghosts to leave Scarlett in peace.

Maya is a fictional alien and one of the main characters featured in season two of the 1970s science fiction television series Space: 1999. She was played by actress Catherine Schell.
Maya was a humanoid alien who hailed from the planet Psychon. She was the daughter of two scientists, Mentor & Psyche, but was forced to abandon the world of her birth when her father could not prevent it from collapsing due to geological upheaval. She escaped from Psychon and became a resident aboard Moonbase Alpha. In short order, she integrated with the command crew of the station, achieving the role of Science Officer. She became one of the most capable members of the command crew with lightning fast intellectual prowess and superior computer skills. She entered into a romantic relationship with Tony Verdeschi.
