Biography[]
Max Shiffman was a television producer. He had the good fortune of witnessing an exhibition wrestling match between Joseph "Crusher" Hogan and a masked neophyte talent who billed himself as the Amazing Spider-Man. After watching Spider-Man soundly defeat Hogan, Shiffman offered to get him into television. He became his agent and was working the night that Spider-Man had a severe lapse in judgment when he let a burglar rush past him with a handful of stolen cash from the studio.
