The Marvels is an American feature film of the superhero fantasy genre. It is part of the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe and is the thirty-third feature film installment in the series. It is the third film in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is a sequel to the 2019 film Captain Marvel. The film was directed by Nia DaCosta with a script written by DaCosta, Megan McDonnell, and Elissa Karasik.

- The Marvels is the third film in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is the third film released theatrically in 2023 following Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3. It is the fourth MCU related project, and is preceded by the Secret Invasion streaming mini-series in June, 2023.
- When it was still identified as Captain Marvel 2, the projected release date for this film was December, 2020. It was then pushed back to November 11th, 2022 under the revised title The Marvels.
- Principal photography was originally set to begin on May 31st, 2021, but did not actually start until August 10th, 2021. Studio shots were filmed at Pinewood Studios in England. [3]
- The first teaser trailer for The Marvels was released on Marvel Entertainment's website and on YouTube on April 11th, 2023.

- Goose the Flerken appeared last in the post-credit stinger from Captain Marvel in 2019.
